Kraken Custody is a qualified, regulated digital asset custody solution designed specifically for institutional clients. Operated by Kraken Financial (a state-chartered bank in Wyoming), it provides secure, segregated custody of crypto assets, with advanced security measures such as MPC (multi-party computation) and HSM (hardware security modules). The service is tightly integrated with Kraken’s institutional product suite—letting clients trade, stake, transfer, or finance assets directly from custody, while preserving strong governance, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
Crypto Staking
Kraken Staking lets users earn rewards by staking supported proof-of-stake assets (and certain BTC staking via the Babylon protocol) under different terms — including Bonded, Flexible, and Auto Earn staking options. Rewards are paid weekly or twice a week depending on the asset, and users can choose whether they want their assets locked with unbonding periods (bonded staking) or available for trading/withdrawal (flexible). Kraken takes a commission on staking rewards, and offerings vary based on region and the particular token.
