Brough Superior's revival carries a genuinely rare burden and opportunity: the original marque's reputation as the interwar Rolls-Royce of motorcycles, ridden famously by T.E. Lawrence, sets a historical bar that few revived heritage brands are asked to meet. Thierry Henriette's Toulouse-based operation has answered that challenge credibly by developing its own in-house V-twin rather than badge-engineering an existing engine, and the Fior-type double-wishbone front fork is a genuinely distinctive engineering choice that sets the bikes apart mechanically from conventional telescopic-fork superbikes, not just aesthetically. Extensive titanium, machined aluminum, and carbon fiber construction reflect a serious commitment to material quality befitting the historical name. The Aston Martin collaboration on the AMB 001 track editions shows the brand can operate credibly alongside established luxury marques as a peer rather than a licensee. As with most small-series revived brands, ride comfort and everyday practicality take a back seat to mechanical spectacle and collectibility, which suits the collector-focused buyer this marque attracts but limits its appeal as genuine daily transportation.
