The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is a compact luxury plug-in hybrid that delivers on Lincoln's promise of serene, comfortable motoring. The PHEV system operates smoothly in electric mode for short commutes, and the combined 266 horsepower provides adequate performance. The cabin is beautifully designed with Lincoln's signature Bridge of Spires dashboard and quality materials that create a genuinely tranquil environment. The 24-way adjustable seats are among the most comfortable in the class, and the Revel audio system provides excellent sound quality. Ride quality is composed and quiet, befitting the Lincoln brand ethos. However, the Corsair Grand Touring struggles with its fundamental numbers: the 28-mile electric range is modest compared to newer PHEVs, the e-CVT transmission can feel lethargic during spirited driving, and the 6.8-second sprint to 60 is uninspiring for a performance-branded trim. Infotainment technology, while improved, does not match the polish of German rivals. Resale values and brand perception remain challenges for Lincoln. The Corsair GT is a comfortable, quiet luxury SUV with a plug, but it lacks the spark to truly compete in this segment.
