That scale is also its biggest barrier, new players face a notoriously steep, poorly explained onboarding curve, and the crafting and modding systems can feel overwhelming before they click. Power creep across a decade of content updates has also left some older systems underused. For those willing to push through the early hours, though, few live-service games reward long-term investment this generously.
