The hull weighs 18 pounds — about half an AdvancedFrame — and the whole kit packs small enough to check as luggage, haul into a backcountry lake, or store in an apartment closet with room to spare. Setup is fast, the open cockpit is easy to enter and load, and the quick-release fin keeps tracking acceptable for a boat this light. An 11-foot waterline gives it more glide than its weight suggests, and Aquaglide's two-year warranty is solid for the class. The lightness is bought with structure. There is no drop-stitch floor, so the hull flexes underfoot and washes out some paddling efficiency in chop; the included seat is thin and needs upgrading for all-day comfort; and the 300-pound capacity matches the AdvancedFrame's ceiling without that boat's tracking to compensate. Spray also comes aboard easily in wind. It sits seventh because it is a specialist: if the boat must be carried far from the car, nothing above it in this ranking is realistic, but on any water you can drive to, most of the boats above paddle better.
