Car handling strikes a satisfying arcade balance, weighty enough to feel consequential without punishing casual players. The story and character writing, however, are forgettable, existing mostly to string races together, and the police AI can feel more like a rubber-banding annoyance than a tense chase at higher heat levels. Post-launch content has kept the roster and modes growing, which helps its longevity. It's a stylish, solid arcade racer that doesn't reinvent the genre but executes its core loop with real confidence.
