The Hennessey Venom F5 is an American hypercar built in Sealy, Texas by Hennessey Special Vehicles, engineered around a single goal: to be the fastest road car in the world. Power comes from Hennessey's own 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged 'Fury' V8, rated at 1,817 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a single-clutch semi-automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The F5 is named for the most powerful category on the Fujita tornado scale, and Hennessey targets a top speed beyond 300 mph; the car has already exceeded 271 mph in validation testing. A bespoke carbon-fiber monocoque keeps dry weight to 1,360 kg, giving the F5 one of the highest power-to-weight ratios of any production car. The minimalist body, with smooth surfacing and a 0.39 drag coefficient, prioritizes stability at extreme speed, while the cabin features a fighter-jet-inspired steering yoke, exposed carbon, and five drive modes culminating in the full-power F5 mode. All 24 coupes sold out at a starting price of $2.1 million, and the lineup has expanded with the open-top Venom F5 Roadster and the track-focused Venom F5 Revolution.
