Carine Gilson is a Belgian couture lingerie house founded in 1990 by the designer of the same name, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The house is regarded as one of the few remaining true couture lingerie ateliers, with each piece cut and assembled by hand in its Brussels workshop.
The brand works primarily in silk satin from Lyon combined with Chantilly and Calais lace, using couture techniques such as hand-appliqued lace insertions and delicate finishing that place its pieces closer to haute couture than conventional lingerie. Collections include kimonos, slip dresses, camisoles, bras, and briefs, along with made-to-measure and bridal commissions. The house gained wider recognition when its lingerie was worn in the James Bond film Skyfall.
Carine Gilson is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, where its atelier remains. The brand sells through its own boutiques, its e-commerce platform, and prestigious retailers and department stores in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, positioned at the highest tier of the lingerie market.
