Flexform is an Italian luxury furniture manufacturer founded in 1959 by the Galimberti family in Meda, in the Brianza furniture district of Lombardy, Italy. The company remains family-owned and operated. Flexform's design direction has been guided since 1967 by Antonio Citterio, one of the most influential Italian industrial designers, whose collaboration with the brand spans over five decades and defines much of its current collection.
Flexform is known for a restrained, sophisticated aesthetic that prioritizes comfort, material quality, and understated elegance. The product range includes sofas, armchairs, beds, tables, chairs, storage units, and accessories for both indoor and outdoor use. The brand's seating is the cornerstone of its collection, with sofas and armchairs accounting for the majority of its output. Notable products include the Groundpiece sofa, the Pleasure armchair, the Lifesteel sofa, and the Mood collection.
In addition to Antonio Citterio, Flexform collaborates with designers including Carlo Colombo. Manufacturing takes place at the company's production facilities in Meda, where traditional upholstery techniques are combined with modern production methods. Flexform places significant emphasis on material selection, using leathers sourced from European tanneries, premium fabrics from leading textile mills, and solid hardwood frames.
Flexform distributes through a network of flagship stores and authorized mono-brand and multi-brand retailers in over 60 countries worldwide. The company also operates a contract division that serves the luxury hospitality and residential development sectors.
