Mobiado is a Canadian luxury mobile phone manufacturer founded in 2004 in Vancouver by engineer Peter Bonac. The brand set out to produce prestige phones with an emphasis on engineering and materials, and released its first device, the Professional, in late 2004.
Over two decades Mobiado has built a catalog of limited-production phones machined from materials including aircraft-grade aluminum, sapphire crystal, exotic woods, mother of pearl, and meteorite. The company recorded several firsts in the luxury phone segment: its Luminoso was the first phone with sapphire crystal buttons, the Grand 350 PRL introduced mother of pearl to phone construction, and the Grand 350 Pioneer was the first phone to incorporate meteorite.
Mobiado's designs pair mechanical construction techniques drawn from fine watchmaking, such as jeweled screws and machined metal frames, with mobile hardware. Its collections span classic keypad phones and smartphone-based designs, typically produced in numbered limited editions.
The company designs and crafts its phones in Vancouver and sells through its official website and a network of authorized dealers in international markets. Mobiado remains one of the few independent luxury phone makers in continuous operation since the mid-2000s, alongside better-known European rivals.
