World Tour is a surprisingly substantial single-player mode, letting players build a custom fighter and absorb techniques from the roster in an RPG framework rare for the genre. Battle Hub's arcade-social atmosphere, backed by some of the best rollback netcode available, has driven the fighting game community to record participation. Roster balance is strong, though inevitably some characters draw more competitive complaints than others, and the game's cosmetic monetization, while optional, is aggressive.
