Broad platform coverage, browser extensions, desktop apps, mobile keyboards, and a Word add-in, means it fits into whatever workflow a user already has, and the personal trainer feature that targets a user's recurring mistakes is a thoughtful touch for skill-building rather than one-off fixes. Where Ginger shows its age is in output sophistication: its patented NLP approach, while reliable for grammar and basic rephrasing, doesn't match the fluency, tone control, or contextual nuance that newer LLM-native writing assistants deliver on more creative or complex rewrites. Translation into 40+ languages is a nice bonus but isn't likely to rival dedicated translation tools.
