Brough Superior is a luxury motorcycle manufacturer originally founded in 1919 by George Brough in Nottingham, England. In the interwar period its hand-built machines were described in the press as the Rolls-Royce of motorcycles, and the SS100 was famously ridden by T.E. Lawrence, known as Lawrence of Arabia. Original production ended in 1940, and surviving examples are among the most valuable collector motorcycles in the world.
The marque was revived in 2013 under Thierry Henriette, with design and manufacturing based in Toulouse, France. Modern Brough Superiors are built in small series around an in-house 997cc V-twin engine, with extensive use of titanium, machined aluminum, and carbon fiber. Signature engineering details include the Fior-type double-wishbone front fork used in place of conventional telescopic forks.
The current range includes the SS100, the Lawrence, the Pendine Sand Racer, and the Dagger, each produced in limited numbers and offered with bespoke finishes. The company also partnered with Aston Martin to create the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, track-only limited editions combining both brands' design languages.
Motorcycles are sold through a small network of official distributors in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia, with prices typically starting above 60,000 euros and each machine built to individual order.
