Recraft is an AI image generation platform built around a proprietary family of image models, developed by Recraft, Inc. and aimed at professional designers and brands. Its Recraft V3 model (codenamed red_panda) topped independent text-to-image benchmarks at launch in late 2024, and the platform currently offers models up to the flagship Recraft V4.1.
Unlike most image generators, Recraft produces both raster images and true editable vector graphics (SVG). It supports consistent brand styles via reference-image style uploads without any model training, along with image editing, inpainting and outpainting, background removal, upscaling, and mockup generation. The focus is on production-ready, brand-consistent design assets rather than one-off art.
Recraft is available as a web application (Recraft Studio) and through a developer API. The API serves Recraft's own models priced per image (Recraft V3 at roughly $0.04 per raster image and $0.08 per vector image) and also proxies third-party image and video models. The company reports more than 4 million users and raised a $30M Series B led by Accel.
A free plan provides 30 credits per day with public images and no commercial rights. Paid plans start at $12/month (Basic, 1,000 credits) and include full image ownership and commercial use; Pro tiers scale from $20/month, with team plans and an enterprise tier offering SSO, shared styles, and priority inference.
