EigenLayer is a restaking protocol on Ethereum that allows users to restake their staked ETH or liquid staking tokens to provide security to additional protocols and services called Actively Validated Services (AVS). This extends Ethereum's cryptoeconomic security to external systems without requiring them to bootstrap their own validator sets.
