Moonbeam is a fully EVM-compatible smart contract parachain on Polkadot, designed to make it easy for developers to deploy existing Ethereum dApps with minimal changes. The platform provides full Ethereum compatibility including Web3 RPC, accounts, keys, subscriptions, and Solidity/Vyper smart contracts, while also offering access to Polkadot's cross-chain capabilities through XCM (Cross-Consensus Messaging). Moonbeam hosts a growing DeFi ecosystem with DEXes, lending protocols, and bridges. The chain also supports integration with remote chains through its connected contracts approach, enabling cross-chain applications.
