Tether is the issuer of USDT, the largest stablecoin by market capitalization and the most widely traded cryptocurrency by volume. Tether's reserves backing USDT consist primarily of U.S. Treasury bills, cash equivalents, and other short-term instruments, with regular attestation reports published by independent auditors.
