Braze

Braze is one of the more established names in customer engagement, and its BrazeAI suite shows a deliberate push to layer AI onto an already mature orchestration platform rather than bolt it on as an afterthought. Decisioning Studio, bolstered by the 2025 OfferFit acquisition, moves beyond static segmentation toward genuine 1:1 decisioning, while BrazeAI Agents aim at always-on automation for campaign management. The channel breadth is a real differentiator: email, SMS/RCS, push, in-app, web, WhatsApp, LINE, and KakaoTalk are all covered from one system, and the Canvas journey builder plus real-time data activation give marketers a lot of orchestration depth. A full REST API and Braze Go tier for smaller teams broaden its addressable market beyond pure enterprise. The tradeoffs are the ones expected of an enterprise-first platform: pricing is opaque until a sales conversation, usage-based MAU and action-credit billing can get expensive at scale, and the sheer feature surface means onboarding and configuration take real investment. For mid-market and enterprise consumer brands, though, Braze remains a strong, battle-tested choice.
