Gooding Christie's is a collector car auction house founded in 2003 as Gooding & Company by David Gooding in Santa Monica, California, and acquired by Christie's, with the rebrand to Gooding Christie's following the completion of the deal announced in 2024. The house is best known as the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where it has held its flagship Pebble Beach Auctions during Monterey Car Week for two decades.
The company specializes in the world's most significant collector cars, from pre-war classics and coachbuilt rarities to post-war sports racing cars and modern supercars, and has achieved numerous world-record results for marques including Ferrari, Bugatti, Duesenberg, and Talbot-Lago. Its annual calendar includes the Amelia Island Auctions in Florida, which realized over 72 million dollars in 2026 with a 94 percent sell-through rate, and single-collection sales.
Under Christie's ownership, the house has expanded internationally through a multi-year partnership with Retromobile, launching an inaugural Paris auction in January 2026 that realized over 50 million euros, with the first US edition of Retromobile scheduled at New York's Javits Center in November 2026.
