Perrotin is a contemporary art gallery founded in Paris in 1990 by Emmanuel Perrotin, who opened his first space at the age of 21. The gallery has grown into one of the most internationally active contemporary art dealerships, known for a program that bridges blue-chip contemporary art and popular culture.
Perrotin gave early European exposure to Takashi Murakami, whom it has represented since the 1990s, and works with artists including Maurizio Cattelan, JR, Daniel Arsham, and Sophie Calle. The gallery is recognized for ambitious exhibitions and for artists whose work crosses into fashion, design, and street culture, attracting a younger generation of collectors alongside established buyers.
From its Paris base in the Marais, Perrotin has expanded to operate spaces across Asia, the Middle East, and the United States, including Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Dubai, and New York. It participates in the major fairs, including Art Basel and Frieze, publishes artist monographs, and runs an active online sales platform including editions through Perrotin's dedicated store. Works range from prints and editions at accessible price points to major paintings and sculptures reaching into the millions of dollars.
